While Siliconera had already revealed that Tears of Tiara 2 would be localized, it’s only now that Atlus has officially confirmed the release of the game for North America and Europe. Co-developed by Aquaplus and Sting, Tears of Tiara 2: Heir of the Overlord is a strategy RPG where most of the story is told in a visual novel style. While the first game was never localized, its characters were featured in the 2D fighting game Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match, which Atlus did localize and release last year. There’s also an anime adaptation that was released in North America by Sentai Filmworks.
Interestingly, Atlus has chosen to keep the original Japanese audio dialogue accompanied with English subtitles. Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord is planned for release in North American on October 14th for a price of $39.99. In Europe, it’s NIS America who will be handling the release planned on November 11th, price as of yet unknown (given NISA’s recent pricing policy for the EU, let’s hope it’s not too high). The official website can be found here. Atlus also posted an opening movie for the game on Youtube, which you can watch below:
Cool more for my ps3!
