Gematsu recently compiled a new batch of Etrian Mystery Dungeon trailers. I’ve included them here in this writeup for your viewing, along with a couple of my comments for each video. Please note that the trailers are in Japanese, and there are currently no subtitles for them.
With that said, check them out below! The second promotional trailer is about three minutes long, and the other three videos range from about half of a minute to a minute.
The second promotional trailer reveals some previously unconfirmed classes: the Shinobi class and the Prince/Princess class. Both are native to recent Etrian Odyssey games. The world that Etrian Mystery Dungeon takes place in is now known as Aslaga. The trailer also shows off an encounter with the new-but-not-quite-new D.O.E.’s.
The Hexer/Cursemaker lives and dies by their ability to inflict status ailments and debuffs. They want to prevent enemies from functioning normally–sometimes through tricks such as making the enemies attack each other.
The Gunners are gifted with exceptional range, and as shown in the video they possess a skill to remove status ailments like paralysis. They can attack large areas without being restricted to conventional shapes like rows or columns.
The Dancers seem to split their talents between buffing techniques and inflicting light damage on enemies. A couple of times in the trailer it appeared as if the Dancers caused enemy attacks to miss when using particular techniques. Each technique is accompanied by a twirling dance once activated.
