Sega has announced on the official Playstation Blog that Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will be localized for PS3 and Vita this Summer!
If you need a refresher, Fighting Climax is a crossover featuring ASCII Media Works’s “Dengeki Bunko” light novel franchises such as Shakugan no Shana and Sword Art Online. Sega have also included cameos of their established series such as Akira Yuki as a playable character and stages based on Sega franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog. The gameplay is traditional 2D fighting using sprites for the characters. Sega claims for the game to be accessible for all players, featuring an Assist mechanic that allows you to call an assist character to chain combos and use for other tactical purposes. Alongside Arcade mode, the game will feature a original story mode supervised by Dengeki Bunko writers.
Sega has not shared additional information about the localization process thus far. They have announced that both versions of the game will be available digitally and physically in North America while digital only in Europe, as confirmed on the European Playstation blog.
