Initially Miracle Girls Festival appeared to be a simple Project Diva clone, using the same graphics engine and gameplay, with the only real difference being that the game featured characters from various anime rather than Vocaloids. However, the recently revealed “Tour mode” shows that the game does in fact have something new to offer in terms of gameplay.

In the game’s “Tour Mode”, players become a concert director and are put in charge of organizing concerts across six different locations. A tour is comprised of several days, and if you can get enough people in the audience during the concerts, you’ll be able to progress to new tours after completing the previous one.

Below you can find screenshots showing the Tour Mode, and also screenshots showing characters from Vividred Operation and Tesagure! Bukatsumono, two of the anime franchises featured in the game. For the complete list of songs and characters featured in the game, you can find them in the Gematsu article here. At this point no localization has been announced, but given the success of the Project Diva franchise and the fact that we’re also getting Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, perhaps Sega might be willing to consider it.
