At their “Sega feat. Hatsune Miku Project” panel at the Tokyo Game Show, Makoto Osaki (producer for Project DIVA Arcade) and Hiroshi Utsumi (Project Manager for the Project DIVA series) revealed a bit more information on the upcoming Project DIVA X (PS Vita and PS4) and Project DIVA Future Tone (PS4).
They confirmed that Project DIVA Future Tone will run in a 1080P resolution at 60 frames per second on the PS4. The exact pricing or number of tracks featured in the game hasn’t been decided yet, so it’ll remain to be seen whether or not the core game will feature all of the 200+ songs from the arcade version.They’re also still working on translating the arcade gameplay to the PS4 controller. You can view the first screenshots of the game here;
As for the release date, Utsumi says Project DIVA Arcade: Future Tone will be released after Project DIVA X (though it’s not clear which version he was referring to, the one on the PS Vita or PS4). Moving on to Project DIVA X news, the game’s cover art has (as always for the Project DIVA games) been illustrated by KEI. You can view it here:
Additionally, they showed gameplay for the “Strangers” PV as well as two modules that were featured in previous Project DIVA games which will be making their return in this game, namely the “Honey Whip” and “Kitty Cape” module. The modules will now also have different attributes, which may influence how easy or difficult it is to complete a song.
Lastly, they also mentioned that the Sega feat. Hatsune Miku Project: VR Tech Demo could become a full game, if enough peple show interest in it!
