Atlus U.S.A. have posted a new trailer for Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, demonstrating the game’s skill and combat system. The remake of the original Odin Sphere has received a considerable overhaul of the gameplay mechanics, as developer Vannilaware used their experience gained from Dragon’s Crown to improve upon Odin Sphere’s original combat system. Each character has its own extensive skill tree, allowing players to customize their fighting style. To unlock and upgrade skills, you’ll need Phozons and Phozon Prisms, which can be obtained by defeating enemies and exploring different areas.
The game now also offers the ability to assign skills to button commands of your own choice. And while the original Odin Sphere suffered from framerate drops, the new game now runs at a solid 60 fps at a 1080P resolution. Take a look at the trailer below to see the changes mentioned here in action! Atlus U.S.A. also provided a few new screenshots, which we included below.
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir will be released as a physical and digital release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on June 7, 2016 in the Americas. The EU release is also planned for June 2016, published by NIS America.
