It’s been a busy week in terms of Project DIVA news, with the release of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X yesterday and the reveal of its first PS4 screenshots, a multitude of discount announcements for the Project DIVA games in both the US and EU, and new information regarding Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone on PS4. The latter now got a couple more screenshots, which you can view below.
SEGA recently revealed that the PS4 release of Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone would involve the game being sold in two separate versions: Future Sound and Colorful Tone. In the screenshots below, you can now see the start menu for both of those games. The update also notes that the two games aren’t entirely separate games, meaning you can use modules and songs from one version of the game with the other.
The update also mentions the price for the game. In particular, it’s said that you can pay with a single bill and you’ll get change back. From there, the author of the article goes on to compare the various bills that you can pay with, ranging from 1,000 yen to 10,000 yen, speculating about which one you’ll need to buy the games. Personally I’m expecting a price ranging between 5,000 and 10,000 yen for each version of the game, which would bring them at around the price of a regular new release.
Lastly, SEGA have unveiled a teaser website for the game. There’s not much there at the moment, but we can expect more content to be added later. Project DIVA Arcade: Future Tone is scheduled to be released digitally on the Japanese PlayStation Store later this year. There’s been no word on a potential localization for the West.
