Kancolle Arcade, an arcade port of the original Kancolle developed by SEGA’s AM2, has received a new trailer. Earlier on, SEGA also posted a video featuring Rina Hidaka, who voices several characters in the game, demonstrating how the game works. Previously, voice actresses Saki Fujita and Yuka Ōtsubo were also featured in similar videos.
You can view both videos below. Fair warning: the second one shows the game’s fanservice aspect where the girls’ clothes are partially destroyed when they take damage, something that may not appeal to everyone.
KanColle Arcade is scheduled to be released in Japanese arcades on April 26, 2016. For more information on the game, take a look at our previous article.

Are arcades surviving in japan? I expected mobile games would have extinguished them already, seems strange to see news about nintendo games and “otaku” games, like they are trying to attract new public…
I elaborated on that point in our JAEPO 2016 article. Basically, I think they’re surviving by offering an experience not easily replicated on console. The arcade cabinet for Kancolle Arcade is a good example, but also Wonderland Wars. It’s also clear that Kancolle Arcade, especially with the fanservice element of the games, is aiming for a limited otaku audience who are willing to spend a lot of money on their favorite games. So while the arcades are certainly not thriving in Japan, I don’t see them disappearing anytime soon either.
