Nintendo and Atlus announced earlier that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE would be playable at PAX East, and we’ve now got two recordings showing gameplay footage from the game at the event. Apparently, the game drew long lines at the Nintendo booth. The first video shows 20 minutes of off-screen footage, courtesy of GameXplain. The second one was taken from the official Nintendo live Twitch stream of the game, recorded by NintendoEverything. Both videos have been included below.
Following the reveal of the videos, some viewers have picked apart the footage and discovered some changes compared to the Japanese version of the game, such as Tsubasa’s panties being replaced by spats in a brief scene depicted in the video, and photos from gravure models on the walls in one of the game’s dungeons having been altered to reveal less skin. Earlier on, Nintendo made this statement to Gematsu regarding the changes made to the game:
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was localized by Atlus in a way that is consistent with the localization work they do on games they publish. It was a priority to ensure the game feels familiar and appeals to longtime Atlus fans. Any changes made to the in-game content were due to varying requirements and regulations in the many different territories Nintendo distributes its products.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will be released on June 24 in North America and Europe, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U.
