Sega has released more information for the PlayStation 4 version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone. Earlier on, SEGA had announced that the game would be split in two separate versions: “Future Sound” and “Colorful Tone”, each with their own music and modules. Combined, these will contain over 220 songs and 340 modules.
The game offers 5 difficulty levels, making it possible for both beginners and more advanced players to enjoy the game. Additionally, it will be possible to customize up to 6 different characters that appear in the game’s music videos. This will also be the first Project DIVA game that allows players to change the game’s key configuration.
The gameplay uses the traditional Triangle, Square, X and Circle buttons and direction controls from the Dual Shock 4 controller. The “slide” element, unique to Project DIVA Arcade, uses the left and right or LR buttons. For more information, Gematsu has translated the entire press release here.
Below you can find an overview of the songs that have currently been confirmed for both versions of the game, along with several new screenshots. Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone is scheduled to be released as a digital download on the Japanese PlayStation store later this year.
