In an e-mail sent to Atlus mailing list subscribers (who are nicknamed the “Atlus Faithful”), they point out that their friends at SEGA of America are working on the dungeon crawler RPG 7th Dragon III: Code VFD, and that the game may be of interest to the fans of dungeon RPGs from Atlus such as the Etrian Odyssey series. Interestingly, one of the trailers included actually appears to be new, offering the Atlus Faithful a first look at the game’s battle system.
In particular, it shows how you can use Support Skills to power up your team, and Buddy Skills to have one character break through enemy defenses, making a follow-up attack from a second character more effective. Lastly, there’s the Unison Skill, where multiple characters can perform a combo to finish of your enemy. Watch the trailer below to see these in action!
