SEGA of Japan have uploaded another gameplay demonstration for AM2’s KanColle Arcade. Once again it’s voice actresses Saki Fujita (who provided the voice samples for Hatsune Miku) presenting the video and playing the game. During this gameplay session, she also adds the three recently announced Destroyers Kagerou, Shiranui and Kuroshio to her fleet.
Since its launch, the game has received continuous updates, also adding enemy submarines. The latter require you to use depth charges launched from your ships or planes. Tracking down the location of submarines via active sonar is done by tapping the screen. Both of these gameplay additions are shown in this video, as Saki encounters a group of submarines. You can take a look at the video below!
At the moment, there’s no word on a potential console port. I don’t think it’s likely this will happen anytime soon. After all, the game has proven to be an overwhelming success for SEGA’s arcades in Japan, and is therefore a key title in their arcade lineup. Porting it to console would inevitable have an impact on the popularity of the arcade version.
