SEGA has uploaded an extended version of their earlier Puyo Puyo Chronicle trailer. The first half of the video is the same as before, but the latter half shows the game’s battle system in more detail/ After encountering enemies in the 3D world, the game transitions to the traditional Puyo Puyo gameplay, with the top screen showing the enemy and its health bar, and the bottom the Puyo Puyo puzzle screen and your party. As shown in the video, your characters can launch a special attack if you find yourself in trouble. The game offers 17 popular rule sets from previous games, including those from Tsu and Fever, and will also support player-vs-player battles.
Take a look at the extended trailer below! Puyo Puyo Chronicle will be playable at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2016, and is scheduled to be released on December 8 for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. No news yet on a release for the West, but we hope that will change eventually!
