Tokyo Game Show 2016 has concluded, and it was an amazing weekend for Yakuza 6, the upcoming mainline entry to SEGA’s flagship action RPG series. It has been a strong media weekend for Yakuza 6 too; with that in mind, we’ve attached a variety of gameplay demo trailers for your perusal.
Additionally, Yakuza 6 had the honor of being designated the best upcoming game of Tokyo Game Show 2016! It’s quite an honor for all of the developers.
View the trailers below! Before continuing, we would like to mention that credit for these captures of Yakuza 6 media from SEGA’s streams belongs to Yakuza-Fan, an independent Yakuza-focused fan site. Do check them out if you are not already aware of their work.
The first trailer to present is a story overview trailer. By now, we know the outline; Haruka is in a coma, was involved in a car accident, has a son, and the only known leads for these recent events point towards Hiroshima. Be sure to listen to the song!
Next is the Playspots trailer, featuring amany of the unique activities that await in Yakuza 6. Yakuza games are no stranger to minigames, and with the introduction of spear gun fishing, ukulele jam sessions, and baseball, there are clearly many things to do besides uncover the mysteries of the main scenario.
These next two trailers will be the last for the purpose of this article. Together, they run for more than 20 minutes. Seamless transitions, new and redone environments, Yakuza is once again putting its best foot forward!
