IGN has reached out to publishers and developers that will be releasing games on the Nintendo Switch, and asked for a comment regarding their plans for the system. SEGA and Atlus are of course part of the companies that will be publishing and developing games for the system, and they both responded to the request. The statements are as follows:
“SEGA and Nintendo have been great partners over the years, and we continue to with our support of the Nintendo Switch. We look forward to revealing specific game plans soon, but have nothing further to announce at this time.” – SEGA representative
“We’re excited to be supporting the Nintendo Switch and believe the games we publish are a perfect fit for the portable nature of the console.” – Atlus representative
Unsurprisingly they have made no games announcement yet, but it appears we won’t have to wait too long to hear which games SEGA plans on releasing for the Switch. The fact that Atlus makes a comment on the portable nature of the console being a perfect fit for them makes sense. After all, the company has developed and localized plenty of Nintendo 3DS games. It’ll be interesting to see what games SEGA and Atlus have in the pipeline for the new platform, which received a positive reception following its recent announcement trailer. You’ve probably already seen it, but if you haven’t, you can view that video below. Which SEGA and/or Atlus games would you like to see released on the system? Let us know in the comments!
