Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live 2nd Stage Gameplay Video

SEGA of Japan has posted a new Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live gameplay video, featuring the song Shake It! from the 2nd Stage DLC that will be released on November 10 in Japan. The 2nd Stage introduces the characters Lin and Ren to the game (the 1st Stage only featured Hatsune Miku). Aside from that, nothing new was shown in terms of gameplay, so for now it appears the new Stage will only add more songs, characters and modules to the game.  You can view the video below! As for the West, the release date of the 2nd Stage hasn’t been announced yet.

Sega-Sammy Reports Increased Profits in the First Half of the Fiscal Year 2017

Sega-Sammy has releasing its financial results for the first half of the fiscal year, showing an improved sales and profits compared to the same period last year. Sales are up by 9.9% for a total of ¥169,501 million, while their operating income is up by 167.5% for a total of ¥15,364 million. Individually, the three main business segments of the holding posted the following results. The Pachinko/Pachislot business posted an operating income of ¥10,639 million ($103 million), the Entertainment Content Business posted an operating income of ¥9,143 million ($88.6 million) and the Resort business posted a loss of ¥1,312 million ($12.71 million). We once again included a chart below to give you a quick overview of how these sales compare to those from the previous year.

Sega is Selling Joypolis

Sega-Sammy Is Selling Their Joypolis Theme Park to Hong Kong-Based China Animation Group

SEGA-Sammy Holdings has released a statement today, announcing their plans to sell 85.1% of its shares in their subsidiary Sega Live Creation to Hong Kong-based China Theme Park Limited, itself a subsidiary of China Animation Group. As a result of the transfer, Sega Live Creation will no longer be part of Sega-Sammy Holding’s subsidiaries. The transfer price is ¥600 million (around $5.7 million or €5.2 million).

Persona 5 Dancing All Night DLC

Persona 5 DLC Packs Feature Costumes and Music from Previous Persona Games, Catherine and Shin Megami Tensei Games

Atlus (Japan) has uploaded a new set of trailers to their YouTube channel, featuring all of the upcoming Costume and BGM Set DLC that they have released for Persona 5 in Japan. While the DLC featuring the first Persona games’ costumes is available for free, the other DLC costs 800 yen ($7.64 / €6.95). While there’s no trailer for it, the game previously received swimsuit DLC as well, also made available for free to celebrate the fact that the game shipped 550.000 copies in Japan. You can view all of the ten DLC videos below!

Persona 5 is scheduled to be released in North America and Europe on February 14 for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. In Japan, the game was released on September 15, 2016.

Phantasy Star Online 2 X Gravity Daze 2 Collaboration Trailer

A short trailer for the Phantasy Star Online 2 and Gravity Daze 2 collaboration has recently been shown during a Gravity Daze 2 promotional video). Starting from November 11, both Kat and Raven costumes, hairstyles and accessories will be available in Phantasy Star Online 2, along with lobby actions that show off Kat’s signature Gravity Slide move and Raven’s flight ability. It also includes an in-game Gravity Daze 2 poster decoration. You can view the new content in the trailer below. Unfortunately, Phantasy Star Online 2 remains unavailable in the West despite the fact that a localized version was officially announced over four years ago, which still hasn’t been officially cancelled. That said, an English fan translation of the Japanese version is available.

A while ago we wrote an article about the first ever “Hatsune Miku Symphony”, a symphonic concert featuring Hatsune Miku which took place on August 26 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A. It featured a live performance of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and was conducted by Hirofumi Kurita. The SEGA feat. Hatsune Miku project was also involved with the project.

New Valkyria: Azure Revolution Trailer and Character Details

SEGA of Japan have released a new trailer for their upcoming RPG Valkyria: Azure Revolution, a spinoff from their Valkyria Chronicles series. The 4 minute trailer features a lot of story footage that we’ve seen before, but it also includes new gameplay footage, including one showing Amleth exploring the city. New character details and artwork have also been added to the official website. Hi-sCool! Seha Girls - Commericals

Hi-sCool! Seha Girls Anime: Japanese DVD Release Details, New Japanese Commercials and English DVD/Blu-ray Menus

SEGA of Japan have released a new batch of commercials for their upcoming DVD release for their TV anime Hi-sCool! Seha Girls, which features the SEGA Hard Girls characters Dreamcast, Saturn and Mega Drive. The new batch of commercials also includes other SEGA Hard Girls such as Master System, SEGA Mark III, Robo Pitcher and Mega Drive 2. Aside from the 13 episodes of the anime that were aired on TV, the Japanese DVD release will include a new episode as well which takes place during a Sports Festival. In addition, the DVD release will include 3D character models (chibi and swimsuit versions) of the SeHa Girls which can be used in the program MikuMikuDance, a free animation program. The DVD will be released on November 3 in Japan. Curiously, it doesn’t seem like there will be a Blu-Ray release in Japan.
