Hatsune Miku Project DIVA X - May 27 - 31

SEGA Europe “Looking into Bringing Project DIVA X to Europe” + Ideas for the 20th Anniversary of NiGHTS

In the latest round of answers to #AskSEGA questions on today’s episode of SEGA Central, SEGA Europe community manager Dan Sheridan answered a question from a fan asking if they’re planning on releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in Europe:

We’ve heard feedback from Miku fans since the announcement in America and we are looking into how we can bring Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to Europe. Stay tuned for updates.

While not a confirmation that the game is coming to Europe, this at least seems a bit more encouraging than their comment on 7th Dragon III: Code VFD. Hopefully, those updates will come soon. With the game releasing on the PlayStation 4 in North America only a few days after its launch in Japan, it would certainly be a shame to see this game released much later (or not at all) in Europe.

Sakura Wars The Documentary

Sakura Wars The Documentary: A Comprehensive Overview of the History of Sakura Wars

The Youtube Channel Chronicles, which focuses on covering the complete history of popular franchises in all of media, has recently completed their documentary video of the Sakura Wars series, aptly called Sakura Wars The Documentary. The video is a combination of smaller videos published earlier, and the end results offers a very comprehensive look at all the Sakura Wars games and media that have been released since the debut of the original Sakura Wars on the Sega Saturn in Japan.

The documentary does a good job of explaining just how important the Sakura Wars franchise actually was for SEGA in Japan. Sadly, it also details how the franchise’s decline in sales ended up seemingly sealing its fate. While the documentary offers a rather bleak outlook for the future of the franchise, I’d like to stay optimistic and think that SEGA isn’t going to let the 20th anniversary this year go by with just a few crossover events to mark the occasion. With that said, I can only encourage SEGA fans to take a look at the video, illustrating the rise and fall one of SEGA’s most iconic franchises. You can view it here:
