King of Fighters XIV – Kim Team Trailer

This week for King of Fighters XIV team trailers, we have the Kim Team. This team of three characters, led by Kim Kaphwan, features two new introductions to the King of Fighters franchise.

Gang-Il is a Tae Kwon Do fighter, and is described as Kim’s master. Kim and Gang-Il share a commitment to justice. He has his own Ho-oh Kyaku, like Kim, and seems to have a charging move with armor properties on it. Luong is a woman of unknown origin. She is the wife of Gang-Il, and fights using long-ranged kicks that come out quickly, and there’s a lot of stabbing people with the tip of her feet. She has the type of personality that toys with her opponents. And lastly, Kim. What an interesting look for Kim this time around! Instead of choosing people to rehabilitate as his teammates, it seems he’s actually chosen some people he’s friendlier with. Everything else about the trailer is classic Kim. His Climax attack is the NeoMAX from King of Fighters XIII. While I don’t play King of Fighters myself, I admit I have always liked watching Kim’s fighting style.

Persona 5 Release Date For the Americas: February 17, 2017, Special Editions

It’s no secret that Persona 5’s changing release date has been the subject of jokes among some fans. Previously, launch windows have been specified for Persona 5, albeit ahead of much information regarding characters and plot themes. That aside, Persona 5 has the distinction of being one of the latter prominent titles to release across console generations, for any holdouts who haven’t purchased a PS4.

Atlus announced the news of a February 14 (Valentine’s Day!) release date for the Americas ahead of an upcoming E3 promotional blitz. Alongside this news, Atlus has announced two special editions to be made available in the Americas.

E3 2016 is next week: June 14-16th. The hype train and rumor mill for all sorts of games are already active. Some fans might even get lucky with the leaks that are coming out recently (anyone here like Dead Rising?)

Meanwhile, Gematsu has recently published an article detailing a partial list of games confirmed to be playable at Sony’s E3 2016 booth. King of Fighters XIV (listed as being published by Atlus) and Yakuza Zero (listed as being published by SEGA), both of which will be available for the Playstation 4. These are great opportunities for both games. King of Fighters XIV is making the rounds at conventions and fighting games tournaments, and added exposure will only help the game. Shin Megami Tensei IV - May 27 - 2

Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse – Story Trailer

Atlus USA has published a new Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse trailer, focusing on the game’s story and the player’s decision to choose a particular side in the continuing grand conflict between deities and humans. The story trailer is nice for checking out some English gameplay and the voicework (!) that can be found in the game.

Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse - Story Trailer

Also, check out this accompanying press release below, alongside a handful of newly published screenshots.

The protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse dies. Oops, spoilers! Oh wait no, that’s in like…the first five minutes of the game. That’s right, the Hunter-in-training for the Outlaw Hunters, a demon-fighting organization, bites off more than he could chew early in the game and gets murdered by a particularly unconcerned (yet fabulous) demon.
This is the agent of your demise

Luckily for players, death isn’t exactly a permanent state in the world of Apocalypse. The lesser god Dagda has taken a keen interest towards our hero and “rewards” him with a second chance at life. But like most things in life, the second chance isn’t free, and the protagonist is bound to Dagda as his vassal for the coming events.

As Tokyo is caught as the battle ground between Merkabah and Lucifer (with some familiar faces from the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado thrown in the mix), Dagda’s position in the battle isn’t exactly clear, but one thing’s for sure…the protagonist’s work is just beginning.

There’s also a segment of the press release dedicated to DLC outfits for those who preorder through select retailers. We’ve attached images of the costumes after the press comments. They are arranged in the order that the press release presents them.

Oh, we’re not done yet! Because you can’t just go around the ruins of Tokyo looking like a slob, players who pre-order Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse from GameStop/EB Games, Amazon.com/Amazon.ca, or Best Buy will receive some stylish DLC armor, fit for the aspiring demon-hunter! Take a look below:

The GSEB Power Suit is a bold red and black jumpsuit that will strike fear in the hearts of demons, and should effectively hide wounds sustained in battle!

The Prime Suit is a packaging-themed jumpsuit that lets demons know that their lives will be ended swiftly and without any hassle!

The sharp yellow, blue, and khaki colors of the Retail Hero jumpsuit are perfect for those who opt for a more professional demon-hunting look.
