Persona 5 - Ann Takamaki Trailer

Persona 5: Ann Takamaki Introduction Trailer and Interview with Her Voice Actress, Erika Harlacher

Atlus U.S.A. has released two new videos for Persona 5, focusing on one of the game’s main characters, Ann Takamaki. The first video serves as an introduction to the character, while the second one is an interview with her English voice actress,  Erika Harlacher. You can find the videos and more information about Ann below, taken from the official press release. Persona 5 will release on February 14 in the Americas and Europe, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Interestingly, the EU version of these video show a provisional PEGI 12 rating for the game, but we can probably expect to see that changed to a PEGI 16 rating when it’s finalized (like Persona 4 Golden).

Yakuza 6 Top Cover

Yakuza 6 PlayStation 4 Bundles Announced for Japan

SEGA and Sony have announced that a special PlayStation 4 bundle, called the “PlayStation 4 Yakuza 6 Starter Limited Pack”, will be released in Japan. The bundle includes a 500GB PS4, a copy of Yakuza 6 and a Yakuza 6 PlayStation 4 theme. It will be released on December 8 for the price of 35,980 yen (around $344).

Another bundle, called the “PlayStation 4 Yakuza 6 Edition”, includes a PlayStation 4, a Yakuza 6-themed top cover, a Yakuza 6 original design package and a copy of Yakuza 6. Two versions of this bundle will be released, one with a 500GB and one with a 1TB PS4, costing respectively 33,480 yen (around $320) and 38,480 yen (around $368). This bundle will also be released on December 8, the same day as Yakuza 6‘s release in Japan. At this point no announcement has been made regarding a localization of Yakuza 6 for the West, but we do have Yakuza 0 to look forward to, which is scheduled for a January 24, 2017 release in the Americas and Europe.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica X Chain Chronicle

Puella Magi Madoka Magica X Chain Chronicle Collaboration Gets New Website and Trailer

SEGA of Japan have aired a trailer for the collaboration between the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica (more specifically the movie Rebellion) and their mobile RPG Chain Chronicle. At the same time SEGA have also launched a new website for the collaboration, as well as a Twitter campaign, asking people to retweet one of SEGA’s tweets 5000 times to earn an SR card of the character Homura (a goal that has already been reached). You can find the trailer (which doesn’t feature any game footage) below, but do note that it might spoil some aspects of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica TV anime series.

Sadly this collaboration, much like the one for Sakura Wars, won’t reach the West as the English version of the game has been discontinued by gumi.

Phantom Thief Meiko

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone Gets 2 More Songs and 6 Modules

SEGA’s arcade rhtyhm game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone will be getting an update on October 27 which will add two news songs and six modules. The two songs are Hibikase (Resonate), produced by Giga-P with lyrics from Reol and an illustration from Key, and Piano x Forte x Scandal, produced by the OSTER Project with an illustration from Kochimu. In terms of modules, new “Phantom Thief” modules will be added for Miku, Rin, KAITO and MEIKO. Two more modules are added for KAITO and MEIKO as well. SEGA has also released four wallpapers, one for each Phantom Thief module. You can find a video featuring the two songs, screenshots of the modules and the wallpapers below!

Chain Chronicle The Light of Haecceitas Trailer

New Trailer for Chain Chronicle Anime “The Light of Haecceitas”

SEGA has released another trailer for Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas, an anime based on their hit mobile game Chain Chronicle. The first three parts of the anime will be screened at theaters around Japan. The first part will be screened on December 3, the second one on January 14, followed by the third and last part on February 11. They’ll then be followed by a full TV anime series. You can view the trailer below! As big as the franchise is in Japan, the mobile game has been discontinued in the West where it was handled by gumi. At this point, it seems unlikely it’ll make a return there.

Atlus U.S.A. Announces Atlus-O-Weenie 2016 Costume Contest

Atlus U.S.A. has sent out a newsletter announcing the Atlus-O-Weenie 2016 Costume Contest, where fans are asked to dress up with an Atlus-themed costume to win various prizes. In addition, those participating in the voting process also get a chance to win a prize. The deadline for the entries is 11/04, and you can find details on how to register on the official website. Keep in mind that the contest is only open to residents of the U.S., the District of Columbia, (excluding Puerto Rico) and Canada (excluding Quebec). SEGA Announces Soul Reverse Zero, a New RPG for iOS and Android

SEGA of Japan have announced a new mobile RPG called Soul Reverse Zero for Android and iOS. The news comes shortly after The World End Eclipse was shut down less than a year after its release. Soul Reverse Zero is being directed and produced by SEGA’s AM2, and is scheduled to be released this fall in Japan. While the game’s premise and artstyle don’t look terribly original, the opening trailer features a solid presentation. The animation was done by Production IG, and the opening theme (called “e of s”) was done by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki, which is a collaboration between composer Sawano Hiroyuki and singer mizuki. They previously collaborated on Aldnoah Zero, and Sawano Hiroyuki was previously also responsible for the soundtrack of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and 7th Dragon III Code: VFD Will Be Released on December 2nd in Europe

Deep Silver, SEGA of America and Atlus U.S.A. have announced that both Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse (Atlus) and 7th Dragon III Code: VFD (SEGA) will be released on December 2nd day in Europe and other PAL regions. Both JRPG games will be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS, and will be available for €39.99 / £34.99 at retail stores and via digital download. The retail version of 7th Dragon III Code: VFD comes with a 28 page artbook. Deep Silver has also released two EU videos for the games, which you can watch below!

Atlus Reveals the English Voice Cast for Persona 5

Yesterday Atlus U.S.A. already teased the English voice cast reveal for Persona 5, and today we got the details of the voice actors for the main cast. They also released two new videos: one introducing the protagonist (featuring several characters’ voices), and another showing an interview with the protagonist’s voice actor, Xander Mobus. Incidentally, the game’s ESRB rating has also been established: like Persona 3 and 4, the game will be rated M. You can find the details and videos below!

Persona 5 is scheduled to be released in North America and Europe on February 14 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
