Nintendo and Atlus announced earlier that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE would be playable at PAX East, and we’ve now got two recordings showing gameplay footage from the game at the event. Apparently, the game drew long lines at the Nintendo booth. The first video shows 20 minutes of off-screen footage, courtesy of GameXplain. The official website for Persona was hacked today after someone managed to gain access to the website’s admin section. Earlier on, Atlus had posted a countdown on their website, which will reach zero on May 5, teasing a future announcement regarding the game. Using this knowledge, the hacker posted a fake update (set to May 5) on the official website, announcing the release date and a PC version for the game. Soon after though, another update was posted, revealing the hack and the method used to gain access:
SEGA of Japan has announced that the PS4 versions of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Future Tone as well as their PlayStation VR tech demo featuring Hatsune Miku (simply titled SEGA feat. Hatsune Miku: VR Tech Demo) will be playable at Machi Asobi, an anime event held in Tokushima in Japan from May 3 to May 5.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE just got a new trailer for its English version, giving us a quick look at the main characters and the game’s battle system. You can find the video below! Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will be released on June 24 in North America and Europe, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U. The game will feature the original Japanese audio with English subtitles. Recently, Nintendo also announced limited editions for the game for both regions. A playable version of the game will be at PAX East this weekend.
SEGA of Japan made a bit of a surprise announcement today, as it revealed that a new “Racing Miku 2016 Ver.” module, based on Good Smile’s latest Racing Miku 2016 costume design, will be added as paid DLC to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. The module will cost 300 yen (tax not included) and will be available on the Japanese PlayStation Network on April 28. The announcement is surprising since the last “Racing Miku” module to be added to a Project DIVA game was the 2012 version. Since then, none of the yearly Racing Miku designs (2013 to 2015) were added to the Project DIVA games. Take a look at the 3 screenshots provided by SEGA of Japan below! Hopefully, the module will also make its way to the West when the game is released in the Americas later this Fall.
Nintendo has announced that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, a crossover RPG between the Fire Emblem series and the Shin Megami Tensei series developed by Atlus. will be getting a limited edition release in both North America and Europe. The limited release will be called “Fortissimo Edition” in Europe, and “Special Edition” in North America. The content appears to be mostly the same for both: aside from a copy of the game itself, it includes a special box, an color art book, a Sound Selection CD with six of the game’s songs and matching song lyric cards, a set of stickers and DLC codes for the 5 sets of planned DLC for the game. The 5 DLC sets will also be available at launch for $1.99 each. You can view images for both versions below.
Update: In the press release following the announcement, SEGA Europe have announced a 66% off sale on all SEGA Mega Drive games currently available on the platform. The sales will start when the service launches on April 28th. At the moment, it’s not clear what all this means for the US. We’re assuming the sales and the hub will be available, but whether or not it will still use the Mega Drive name is unknown. The games will also feature Steam Workshop support, but the exact details aren’t know yet.

During the latest SEGA Central today, SEGA Europe have revealed that they’ll be launching the new SEGA Mega Drive Classics Hub on Steam on April 28th. As the name suggests, this is a hub from where you can access your favorite SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis games on Steam. But rather than a simple menu, the hub is actually a 3D room, based on a typical bedroom of an early nineties SEGA fan. It features dynamic time-of-day effects, a shelf that displays all the Mega Drive games on Steam and a classic CRT TV. We also included the entire list of SEGA’s currently available Steam games that you’ll be able to access through the hub. Buying any of these games on Steam will grant you access to the hub. It’s not clear if this hub will actually be available in the US, as the update makes no mention of it. The SEGA Mega Drive was known as the SEGA Genesis in the US, so it’d be odd if the hub used the same name worldwide. Continue reading
Sony have launched another round of sales on the US PlayStation Store, and the list includes several SEGA and Atlus games. On the SEGA side, we have several classic SEGA games such as Daytona USA, NiGHTS into Dreams as well as newer games such as Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Resonance of Fate. On the side of Atlus, Both Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax are all on sale. You can find the list of discounted games below, with a link to the PSN Store page. Note that some of these sales end on April 26, while others end one week later on May 5.
Kancolle Arcade, an arcade port of the original Kancolle developed by SEGA’s AM2, has received a new trailer. Earlier on, SEGA also posted a video featuring Rina Hidaka, who voices several characters in the game, demonstrating how the game works. Previously, voice actresses Saki Fujita and Yuka Ōtsubo were also featured in similar videos.
SEGA of Japan have released a few more screenshots for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, running on the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, only one of these is in the game’s full 1080P resolution, but they still give us a good look at the graphical improvements compared to the PlayStation Vita version (which is already available in Japan).
