Atlus has released a new video for Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold, showing the game’s Classic Mode. While the game is a remake of the original Etrian Odyssey 2 and includes a new Story mode (where you play the game with a fixed cast of five heroes), the Classic mode offers players the same experience as in the original game, where you created your own cast of characters. To create your guild, you can make a selection of characters out of a total of 13 classes. You can watch the video detailing the game’s Classic Mode below.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will release on the Nintendo 3DS in Summer 2015 for North America. NISA Europe will be handling the European release, which is scheduled for early 2016.

Hyperdimension War Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls Features New Protagonist

Gematsu has posted a summary of an interview from Dengeki PlayStation between Compile Heart’s Shingo Onodera and Sega’s Masahiro Nakayama. The two reveal that the game will feature a new protagonist named Hatsumi Sega, illustrated by Tsunako (the lead character designer for the Hyperdimension Neptunia games). We also learn that the game will be an RPG, although with gameplay very different from the other Neptunia games, where the Neptunia and Sega Hard Girls will be fighting against each other. Felistella, known for the Neptunia Re;Birth games, are currently developing the game. You can find more details in Gematsu’s article.

SEGA’s Hortensia Saga Launches in Japan

SEGA’s new tactical RPG Hortensia Saga has been released today on iOS and Android in Japan. The free-to-play game is somewhat of a successor to Chain Chronicles and features very similar gameplay. No doubt, Sega will be hoping that Hortensia Saga will reach the same success as Chain Chronicles, which was (and remains) a big hit for Sega in Japan. Compared to Chain Chronicles, Hortensia Saga is graphically certainly more impressive, as the characters on the battlefield are more detailed and the artwork seems more consistent.

In battle, your team is placed on a 3×3 grid, just like that of your opponent. Positioning characters correctly and making use of different attacks that can hit multiple grids, is key to winning the battle. Aside from the story mode, the game also features PvP where two camps of 20 players fight for victory. Whether or not the micro-transactions are balanced and the game doesn’t end up being “pay-to-win” will probably become clear over time. Below you can find the three trailers that have been released for the game so far, and a few screenshots showing the 3×3 grid and the 20vs20 mode.

SEGA Asks Fans Which Platform They Want to See Project DIVA Arcade Ported to

Gematsu reports that SEGA has launched a survey to ask Project DIVA Arcade players on which platform they’d like to see a Project DIVA arcade port. Possible choices are PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Smartphone and “non applicable”.

Before you search for the link to the survey, it’s only available to people that have an account ID to log in to DIVA .NET. So that basically means the survey is strictly aimed at people playing the arcade game in Japan. Interestingly, the PS Vita isn’t an option in the survey. While the platform is unlikely to be powerful enough to really do an arcade port justice, the same problem goes for smartphones, which are nevertheless on the list.

Things Get Even Crazier in This New Persona 4: Dancing All Night Trailer

If things weren’t crazy enough before in the Persona 4: Dancing All Night trailers we’ve seen before, they certainly are now in this new trailer. The trailer starts out rather creepy as we’re once again introduced to the disappearances surrounding the Midnight Channel (we also get to see Kanami in her non-idol outfit here). Soon afterwards though, the mood becomes more upbeat when the members of Yu’s Investigation Team make their appearance, along with Kanami and Nanako. While we’ve seen all the characters before, what hasn’t been shown in previous trailers is Yu summoning his Persona. Not only that, but it appears the Persona’s themselves will be playing instruments in the game. Yes, that’s indeed Izanagi you see playing guitar there.

New Stella Glow Trailer Shows Game World, Characters & Gameplay

Sega have released a new trailer for Imageepoch’s upcoming RPG, Stella Glow. The trailer shows us various aspects of the game, such as the story premise and the battle system. Your main team (a squad called the White Knights who are tasked with saving the world) consists of the characters Alto, Risette, Klaus, Popo, Sakuya and Moldimolt. Their opponents are Dante, Dorothy and of course the witch Hilda, who threatens to destroy the world with her song of destruction. The trailer also highlights the use of Song Magic by the witches on your team.

The game also features a system called “Free Time” which, similar to the Persona games, allows you to spend your time outside of battle on various activities, such as managing your equipment, talking to and bonding with various characters or completing side-quests called “Free Missions”. The game also allows you to unlock new Song Magic in the witches on your team using a process called Tuning. This apparently has Alto completing dungeons within the witches’ hearts. Completing the dungeons unlocks new powers within the witches, and also new costumes (shown in the featured image in this article).
