SEGA of America Reveals 7th Dragon III Code: VFD DLC Plans

SEGA of America has recently announced their DLC plans for the upcoming Summer 2016 3DS title 7th Dragon III Code: VFD.

Similar to Etrian Mystery Dungeon, there’s an assortment of quests that offer specialized rewards and unique challenges (besides loot and experience boosts) for players. While these quests are paid DLC there is also a free DLC piece featuring the Nagamimi doll, a talking bunny plush that provides joy and justice. The pricing schedule for the other pieces of DLC are also provided, alongside the release date for each of the DLC. Atlus stresses that not all DLC can be readily accessed from the beginning of the game and progressing through 7th Dragon III Code: VFD is essential (some content is only available post-game, too). There are no plans for release in Europe announced at the moment.

Persona 5’s Remaining Cast Members, And More

While Famitsu leaks earlier this week revealed the names and offered a short bio of some of the remaining cast members of Persona 5, more information has been officially revealed, including names and other information on the game itself. Keep in mind that there is one more character who it seems has yet to be fully revealed (towards the upper right in the featured image used for this article)…

In any case, here’s an introduction to more of your friends in this game!

Persona 5 FutabaFutaba Sakura is the navigator of the group, with the age of a first-year in high school and an exceptionally gifted level of intellect and talent for programming and calculation. However, she lacks for social skills and is a shut-in due to a certain incident in her life; Sakura does not attend school after her middle-school graduation. She is often awkward around others and covers her head in public, though she does not do this with the Protagonist. Her starting Persona is Necronomicon, which is UFO-like. Sakura has a special connection to the overarching events of Persona 5’s story.

Atlus USA Booth Plans for E3 2016 Include Yakuza 0

Towards the end of February, it had been noticed that two different branches of SEGA would be representing the company at E3 2016 – Atlus USA and SEGA Europe. While at first this may have raised questions about the whereabouts of SEGA of America in particular and what plans there would be for any upcoming English-localized SEGA titles from Japan, we now have our answer courtesy of an update to the Atlus USA profile on the official E3 2016 website. Quoted below:

ATLUS U.S.A., Inc. is known for high-quality, deeply immersive, uniquely Japanese and indie video game experiences. Our award-winning catalog continues to grow across a variety of genres and platforms. Visit our booth featuring highly anticipated titles from ATLUS and SEGA, including Persona 5, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, and Yakuza 0.

Interestingly, there’s a wide swath of genres listed in this Atlus profile page, including Fighting/Wrestling, Indie, Music/Dance, Role-Playing, Strategy, Action, Adventure, and Localization. These cover virtually all modern active gaming platforms. So we can probably expect more than what’s listed at the description, at the very least. With yet-to-be-released titles such as Valkyria Chronicles Remastered (releasing later this month!) and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, this is to be expected. Nevertheless it must be said that this doesn’t guarantee that these two titles in particular will be present, though we would hope to see a generous offering of titles on display.

Yakuza Kiwami Korea Logo

New Commercial For Yakuza Kiwami Korean Version – The Story Continues…

Speaking of silly commercials

When we last saw Toshihiro Nagoshi, he had revealed something powerful to the Korean mafia – a Korean copy of Yakuza Kiwami.

After this plot twist, the story continues with a tense exchange over drinks, and a quick overview of some of the game’s action sequences.

All of it culminating with Nagoshi dropping a major bombshell: the release date of the Korean version of Yakuza Kiwami. His business partner on the other side of the table is absolutely shell-shocked.

May 26th, 2016. The date when the magic happens.

Check out the minute and a half trailer below (no English subtitles, Japanese subtitles for the spoken Korean parts.) Riveting stuff. You’ll be on the edge of your seat.

Sakura Wars X Granblue Fantasy Crossover Silhouettes, Event Name

Shortly after the newest Weekly Famitsu officially announced the Sakura Wars X Granblue Fantasy crossover event, the official Japanese website for Granblue Fantasy published a blog post with a little more details and art teasers to promote the upcoming project. The event is titled “Sakura Wars ~Sky-Flying Maidens~”.

Immediately worth noting is the presence of three silhouettes on the new blog post, which have been compiled into one and used as our featured image. The silhouettes should be clear enough – they depict (from left to right) Gemini Sunrise, Erica Fontaine, and Sakura Shinguuji, the main heroines of the Sakura Wars games. They are described as the characters who will be making an appearance in the crossover.

The greater portion of the blog post is actually dedicated to another event (“Legend Festival”) and other news that isn’t directly related to the Sakura Wars event. More details are to be announced on the Sakura Wars project at a later date, according to the blog post. Stay tuned for more information!
