Hi-sCool! Seha Girls Impressions

Hi-sCool! Seha Girls is an anime adaptation of the Sega Hard Girls series, featuring moe anthropomorphized Sega consoles. The series started as light novels and character cameos for games like Samurai and Dragons and Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax. While each of Sega’s consoles and their revisions have been transformed into a character, only Dreamcast, Saturn and Mega Drive appear in the anime (thus far of my 5 episode recap). Sorry Genesis fans, the outrageous American-Texas dressed heroine will have to show up another time.

Valkyria Chronicles 3 Collaboration in Phantasy Star Nova

Valkyria Chronicles cameos seem to be everywhere lately, with playable roles in Project X Zone and Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. Sega has announced that Valkyria Chronicles III DLC content will also be in Phantasy Star Nova on December 24th, as reported by Gematsu. The costume is based on Riela Marcellis’s Valkyria form and can be used when creating a character.

Release dates for the previously announced tri-ACE content have also been confirmed. Leading the pack is the Resonance of Fate collaboration on December 4th, then Star Ocean IV on the 11th and Valkyrie Profile on 18th.

Project Diva F/f Discounted during Flash Sale on US PS Store

Currently the European Playstation Store has Project Diva F on the PS3 and Project Diva f on the PS Vita discounted as part of their weekly sales, but Sony has now announced that both games will also be getting a discount in North America during a Flash Sale. However, this sale is only for this weekend (ending October 20th!)

A couple of other Sega games are also discounted for this US PSN Flash Sale, such as the original Golden Axe (not listed on the blog, but this game is on the store) and Bayonetta. While this discounted Bayonetta offering is not necessary for anyone who is looking to buy the sequel in the US (where the original game is included for free), those who don’t have a Wii U and have yet to play Bayonetta can now get the game at a discounted price. And while not a Sega game, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is included in the Flash Sale as well. The game features parodies and references to Sega.

You can find the new prices below, and PS Plus members gain additional 10% off:

GameUSD
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f (PS Vita)$11.99
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F (PS3)$19.99
Bayonetta$7.99
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory$7.49
Golden Axe$1.99

Resonance of Fate Now Available On PSN

It has been a while since the release of Resonance of Fate back in 2010, but Sega has finally released a digital PSN version of the Tri-Ace RPG on the US PSN for $19.99. Previously only the 360 version was available digitally.

Resonance of Fate stood out from other JRPGs on console for its battle system with an emphasis on gunplay and its steampunk world.  While the game is a one-shot at the moment, Sega fans can find references and cameos to the game in the form of costumes in Project Diva 2nd and Phantasy Star Portable 2 as well as playable characters in the 3DS crossover Project X Zone.  Phantasy Star Nova will also feature Resonance of Fate costumes and weapon options alongside other Tri-Ace cameos for Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile.
