Atlus has announced that it will be creating its own European publishing team, located in SEGA Europe’s headquarters. This will enable them to start publishing their own titles in the future, likely signaling the end of their publishing partnership with Deep Silver. Commercial director Simon Inch is already on-board for the new team, and moving forward they will be adding a PR manager and a product marketing manager.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim – E3 2017 Trailer
Atlus U.S.A. has released the E3 2017 trailer for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, the latest game from developer Vanillaware. Recently, they had already confirmed the game is heading West. Etrian Odyssey v, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and SMT: Strange Journey Redux Confirmed for the Americas
Atlus U.S.A. has confirmed no less than three games simultaneously for release in the Americas on the Nintendo 3DS: Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will release fall 2017, while Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux will launch in early 2018. Atlus Is Bringing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim to the West
Atlus U.S.A. have announced that they will be localizing and releasing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which is Vanillaware’s latest title. There hasn’t been a lot of news regarding the game since it was first announced, but it looks like we’ll finally be learning more about the game soon. While not specifically mentioned in the press release, Persona Central had already pointed out earlier on that the game was briefly listed at the Atlus/SEGA E3 exhibitor page. The game had been announced for PS4 and PS Vita in Japan, though Atlus U.S.A. hasn’t confirmed any platform for the localized release. You can read the press release below, along with a few images. Atlus U.S.A. Is Looking into Amazon’s Cancellations of Persona 5 “Take Your Heart” and Steelbook Pre-Orders (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Atlus U.S.A. has posted an update, stating that they can confirm what they’ve always known, “that there’s nothing wrong or “dangerous” about our product” and that only a “tiny number of Amazon sales have been affected”. In other words, Amazon’s claims that the pre-order was cancelled due to “dangerous goods” contained in the product appears to be false. Atlus has stated that anyone affected by the cancellations should contacted their retailer.
Original story: Amazon has been sending out e-mails to people who pre-orded Persona 5 at their store, both for the “Take Your Heart” and Steelbook Edition. On NeoGAF, one user shared the contents of the e-mail he received from Amazon:
The Caligula Effect Release Date Set for May 2nd in the Americas and Europe, New Story Trailer Revealed
Atlus U.S.A. has finally provided an update on FuRyu’s PlayStation Vita RPG Caligula, now named The Caligula Effect in the West. Along with a new story trailer, the game is now confirmed to be released on May 2nd, as a digital only title on the PlayStation Store. The King of Fighters XIV: New Costume DLC for Nakoruru and Shun’ei
SNK and Atlus U.S.A. have announced new DLC costumes for two characters in The King of Fighters XIV: Nakoruru and Shun’ei. The costumes are available on the PlayStation Store now and cost $2.99/€1.49 each. It was also recently announced that The King of Fighters XV has been selected as an official game for EVO 2017, the largest fighting game tournament in the world. The event will take place from July 14 to 16. You can view the two trailers for the DLC below!

Atlus Unveils Website and New Concept Video for PROJECT Re FANTASY
Atlus U.S.A. has issued a press release today regarding the formation of Studio Zero, a new internal studio of Atlus in Japan. We wrote more about the studio in an earlier article, and the official press release below contains more information. At the same time, Atlus of Japan has updated the new website and also posted a concept video for the new game the studio will be working on, currently titled PROJECT Re FANTASY. The video features real-life footage and outlines Atlus’ vision for the game. It seems the reaction to the video isn’t entirely favorable, as some people apparently expected gameplay footage. Keep in mind the team was only just formed and PROJECT Re FANTASY is still in the concept phase.
