EVO 2015

EVO 2015 Catherine Event Archive Now on YouTube

John L. Hardin of Atlus recently archived the EVO 2015 competitive Catherine event and uploaded it to AtlusUSA’s YouTube account. We appreciate his and Atlus’ attention to this event at EVO 2015! After the break, we’ve attached the archived footage for your viewing. There will be two videos – one full video (a little under five and a half hours) that captures the whole event, and another (lasting about 45 minutes) that starts with Loser’s Bracket Finals. The latter video is closer to the very end of the tournament, and is where we can expect the caliber of play to be ramped up considerably. Though considering the diehard fan favorite status of the event itself, surely this was event that attracted the most dedicated of players.

Some of you competitive Catherine folk have some crazy tags. It’s almost like the funny stuff that shows up at horseraces. I love it, though.

New Stella Glow Trailer Features English Version of the Game’s Theme Song

Atlus USA posted a new trailer for the English version of the 3DS strategy RPG Stella Glow, featuring the game’s opening animation. Unique for the western version of the game is an English version of the game’s theme song “Hikari no Metamorphosis”, which was re-recorded by the song’s original artist, Konomi Suzuki. That said, the original Japanese version of the song will also be included in the game.

English Etrian Odyssey II Untold Trailer for Chloe

AtlusUSA uploaded a character trailer for Chloe, the War Magus. She often seems to have food on her mind – specifically, meat. Chloe also doesn’t appear to be easily intimidated by monsters and generally keeps a cool image. As a War Magus, she excels in afflicting enemies with powerful debuffs, which can be further bolstered by certain setups.

I’ll also note that AtlusUSA has put up a full promotional website for Etrian Odyssey II Untold, which you can see here. It’s nice to see the game being supported in such a manner.

Etrian Odyssey II Untold is coming to North America on August 4th – next Tuesday! Continue reading to check out the trailer.

Lost Dimension Launch Trailer

AtlusUSA uploaded a new trailer for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita title Lost Dimension in conjunction with the game’s July 28 release in North America (Europe will be getting this game in a month.) The trailer is a little under a minute and a half, and touches all of the major bases in the game: the battle system, the basic story concept, the voting process. It’s a good recap for all of the information thus far on Lost Dimension and it also serves as a good introduction for those who don’t know what the game is about.

Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, Catherine, and Dengeki Bunko: FIGHTING CLIMAX Featured at EVO 2015

Some of our readers who are interested in competitive fighting games should be aware that EVO 2015 took place this past weekend. Persona 4: Arena Ultimax was one of the headlining events. Sega’s Dengeki Bunko: FIGHTING CLIMAX and Atlus’s Catherine were featured as side events at EVO 2015. So while they weren’t featured as main stage events and enjoyed the large pot bonuses that some other games may have enjoyed, they were also streamed through Twitch channels and many players had the opportunity to compete against each other in the tense but fun atmosphere of EVO.

Be sure to continue reading! It was a fun event, and a quick recap awaits after the break.

Lost Dimension The End

Lost Dimension Trailer: The End (The Character)

Here’s The Article containing The Trailer for The End, The Character, who apparently shows up at The Beginning (but also presumably shows up at other parts of the story including The End, and by The End I mean a particular point in the game’s plot progression and not the character himself.) To let you know that The End of humanity is coming.

He is a terrorist, self-styled agent of the apocalypse, and delights in the suffering and impending doom that he aims to bring upon humanity. The Pillar, his lair, is designed in such a way to psychologically torture the characters of the game, as the team must guess at the traitors amongst the ranks and eliminate one team member periodically through the journey to the top.

Lost Dimension’s “Deep Vision” Trailer

AtlusUSA uploaded a new trailer for Lost Dimension ahead of its impending North American (July 28th) and European (August 28th) releases. It’s a minute long and offers a glimpse into the Judgment process that occurs after a battle.

During the Judgment section, you’ll be able to keep track of current relationships with your compatriots as well as “mark” your assessment of their trustworthiness for future reference, essentially making a personal note for yourself. Players will be given a set amount of Vision Points that can be used for Sho’s “Deep Vision” ability, which allows him to peer into the mind of one of your teammates and hopefully glean hints as to who among the group is the traitor. Then, players will allot Sho’s votes and determine who is to be permanently erased from the journey. The game isn’t necessarily going to suggest to you whether or not you’re making the right decision once someone has been erased. Choose well!

Check out the trailer after the break.
