SEGA 3D Classics, Project Mirai DX and Atlus RPGs Discounted on NA 3DS Eshop

While the SEGA 3D Classics Collection will be released on April 26th in North America, not every existing 3D Classic game will be included on the cartridge. You can, however, save money completing your collection as SEGA discounted the remaining titles on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Unfortunately 3D Sonic 2 has been excluded in the sale, but I’m confident SEGA will include it in a future Sonic franchise sale.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker EU Preorder Page Up, Some Bonus Items Absent

NISAmerica, who has been handling distribution of Atlus-related products in Europe in recent times, put up a product page that is taking preorders for Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker. Early copies for European gamers will include the decal set that came with North American early copies, but unfortunately other additional goods including the bonus soundtrack CD and collector’s outer box are absent.

Copies are priced at £24.99, which is not too far a departure (slightly lower, even) from the standard retail price schedule of North American games. Maybe the absence of the CD and outer box contributed to the relatively lower price? The release date is still set for Fall 2015, as of this article’s writing.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon, Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker Dated for Europe

NIS America announced the release dates of Etrian Mystery Dungeon and Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker not too long ago. Etrian Mystery Dungeon is set to release on September 11, while DS2:RB will release on October 30. Physical and digital presences are planned for both games.

Off of the news of Etrian Odyssey II Untold’s release on February of next year, I’m of the opinion that the pacing of these Atlus releases feels slightly better knowing DS2:RB is coming at the end of October. Of course, this is not to suggest everyone in EU is planning on buying all of the Atlus games to begin with (DS2:RB and the Etrian Odyssey games play differently, after all.) Interestingly, these releases also puts into perspective that the past couple of years were quite busy for Atlus and the Nintendo 3DS, even if two of the games are expanded remakes.

New Unboxing Video and Battle Trailer for Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker

With the US release of Devil Surivor 2: Record Breaker just a few days away, Atlus has revealed a new unboxing video for the game, which aside from the game itself also shows all of the free preorder bonuses. The collectible outer box is said to be a North American exclusive, which suggests Europe won’t be receiving this one. Aside from this, Atlus has also posted a new Battle Trailer, detailing the game’s battle system. You can find the unboxing video, an image with all the preorder bonuses, the battle trailer and a preview for the game’s 3DS theme below.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and Etrian Odyssey II: Untold Coming to Europe

NIS America recently announced that they will be distributing Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and Etrian Odyssey II: Untold in Europe. The first two titles will arrive in Europe during the Fall of 2015, while Etrian Odyssey II: Untold has an early 2016 release planned for it. The price of the games hasn’t been announced yet (NISA Europe’s pricing has been rather controversial, so it’ll remain to be seen if the games will be reasonably priced).

Both physical and digital releases are planned for all three titles, per Siliconera.

It’s always good to see Atlus gamers in Europe, and European gamers in general, being given more timely releases than they’ve had to deal with in the past. After it took much strain and waiting for Ghostlight to bring Devil Survivor 2 to Europe, Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker was something of a question mark considering that it was an expansion title and that Ghostlight isn’t a large publisher to begin with. Etrian Odyssey titles have been regularly coming to Europe after the original Etrian Odyssey II failed to come to European gamers, and interestingly NIS America also distributed Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl in Europe.

If you would like a rather personal (not crafted by myself, to specify) preview of the game with a variety of helpful opinions, consider reading this technologytell.com article.

Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker: Fate System Trailer

Atlus USA shared the latest news on the localization of Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker on 3DS by uploading a trailer about the game’s Fate System. With this feature, players can take time between the story to interact and form a bond with party members so you can strengthen them for future battles. By reaching the next stage in the Fate system, your party members gain abilities such as elemental resistances and the ability to fuse powerful new demons.

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker – First Print Bonuses, Livestream Planned

Gematsu reports that first-print copies of Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker will include quite the assortment of additional spoils: a CD soundtrack featuring arrangements of in-game tracks and a set of decals (featuring the Protagonist, his classmate Io Nitta and friend Daichi Shijima, and the logo for the mysterious JPs organization) all stuffed into a larger collectible box. The contents are laid out in the image above.

Additionally, Atlus USA is planning a livestream of Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker on March 11th at 2:30 P.M. Pacific Time on their Twitch.tv channel. Readers may already know that Atlus USA has streamed other games like Etrian Mystery Dungeon before. The stream will show off the Triangulum arc, which is the additional story arc taking place after the “main game” that is the “Septentriones” arc. So, beware of spoilers!
