Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA-themed Playstation 4 Special Package Announced!
A news post to the Sony of Japan website announces the production of a Playstation 4 hardware package – the Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Special Pack. It’s inspired by the soon-to-be-released titles Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X HD and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone.
It’s being sold in two hard drive capacities (500 GB and 1 TB), with Jet Black being available in both sizes and Glacier White being an option for the 500 GB version. The general package is basically the same as what we’ve seen for other SEGA-related PS4 promotions, but the noticeable differences are the inclusion of two Project DIVA themes for the PS4 and three different bay cover.
There are three different bay covers – one that is Project DIVA X HD-themed, one that is Project DIVA Future Tone-themed, and one that is themed on the SEGA’s continued collaboration with Hatsune Miku (SEGA ft. Hatsune Miku). The Project DIVA X HD bay cover is Glacier White-colored, the Project DIVA Future Tone cover is Jet Black-colored, and the SEGA one is a bright Aqua Blue.

Project DIVA Arcade: Future Tone on PS4 Will be Split in Two Versions, Sold at “Bargain” Price
SEGA of Japan have revealed some more information on the Japanese release of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone on the PlayStation 4. In fact, the game won’t actually be released as Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone. Rather, the game will be split into two separate versions. The “Future Sound” version will contain about 120 songs from those featured in SEGA’s Project DIVA series. The other version, titled “Colorful Tone”, will contain about 100 songs, featuring those from the arcade version of Future Tone and the “Project Mirai” series on the Nintendo 3DS.
Project DIVA Demos (Including Future Tone!) Playable at Snow Miku 2016
Sega has announced that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X (Vita version), Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX (3DS), and the Arcade and PS4 versions of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone will be playable at Snow Miku 2016. Future Tone was announced at Tokyo Game Show last year, as a port of an arcade game. We haven’t heard much about the game since it was announced, but it’s also a port so this may be somewhat expected. “Ren’ai Saiban” by 40mP and “Chaos Medley ~Giga remix~” by Giga-P will be playable songs, and for Project Mirai DX the playable songs will be “Senbonzakura” by KurousaP and “Ii-Aru Fanclub” by MikitoP. No song-specific demo information seems to be offered for the Future Tone demo units.
Some of you may be aware of Snow Miku as a Vocaloid or Hatsune Miku fan, but this year’s Snow Miku is also notable for Love Live! fans, as the franchise is cross-promoting with Snow Miku this year. Snow Miku is an annual winter-based festival for Hatsune Miku that takes place in Hokkaido, where original Vocaloid developers Crypton Future Media are based. It’s a big festival for Miku in particular, but as for the Love Live characters, snow sculptures and special promotional art is planned, with themed goods likely to come, too.
