Vocaloid MEIKO celebrates her 12th anniversary today, and the SEGA feat. Hatsune Miku Project team decided to celebrate the occasion with two new wallpapers, one in the Project DIVA X style and one in the Project DIVA Future Tone style. You can find the 1080P versions of the wallpapers below! You can also find additional mobile versions in the original article on the official blog.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone Rated in Germany
In a recent article, Gematsu points out that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone has received a rating by the USK, the organization that rates video games in Germany. This suggests that the game will likely be released in Europe and presumably also the Americas. The rhythm game was previously released in Japan as a digital download only, where it offered no less than 220 songs (if you bought both of the DLC packs). As such, it offers a lot more value for money than any of the Project DIVA games that came before it, at least to those who primarily play the rhythm game
Interestingly, the publisher is listed as Atlus U.S.A. rather than SEGA Europe. Until now, SEGA Europe was still listed as the publisher for digital games from Sega of America, such as Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live. It looks like they may not be involved this time. Previously, Deep Silver already took over publishing duties in Europe for the physical games from Sega of America. It should be noted that there’s no official confirmation yet from Sega of America that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone will be released in the West, but as always we’ll let you know as soon as we have any more information to share!
Hatsune Miku Symphony 2016 Gets Promotional Trailer For Its Upcoming CD Release
A while ago we wrote an article about the first ever “Hatsune Miku Symphony”, a symphonic concert featuring Hatsune Miku which took place on August 26 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A. It featured a live performance of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and was conducted by Hirofumi Kurita. The SEGA feat. Hatsune Miku project was also involved with the project.

SEGA’s arcade rhtyhm game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone will be getting an update on October 27 which will add two news songs and six modules. The two songs are Hibikase (Resonate), produced by Giga-P with lyrics from Reol and an illustration from Key, and Piano x Forte x Scandal, produced by the OSTER Project with an illustration from Kochimu. In terms of modules, new “Phantom Thief” modules will be added for Miku, Rin, KAITO and MEIKO. Two more modules are added for KAITO and MEIKO as well. SEGA has also released four wallpapers, one for each Phantom Thief module. You can find a video featuring the two songs, screenshots of the modules and the wallpapers below!
Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live 1st Stage Review (PlayStation VR)
Back in June 2015, SEGA first unveiled its “SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project: VR Tech DEMO”, for Project Morpheus. That tech demo turned into an actual game, called Hatsune Miku; VR Future Live, which was released a few days ago as a launch title for PlayStation VR. It’s not the first time that SEGA has tried to replicate the feel of a live Hatsune Miku concert. In Hatsune Miku; Project DIVA F 2nd, the Studio mode allowed you to view a “live” performance as well, from different camera angles. In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, some of the Event Requests were in front of a “live” audience that sang along with the tunes at times. But these never came close to recreating the feel of an actual Hatsune Miku concert.
Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live 1st Stage Available Now, 2nd Stage Will be Released on November 10 in Japan
Today marks the launch of PlayStation VR, and that also means that Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is now also available worldwide. I’m currently playing the game, and you can expect my first impressions in an article later today. A free demo is available as well on the PlayStation Store, which includes the song “Weekender Girl”. Meanwhile, Sega has also announced that the 2nd stage for Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live will be released on November 10 in Japan. We also get a few new screenshots of the new stage, which you can view below. As you can see, the 2nd stage will also include Rin, Len and Luka (the 1st Stage features Miku only). Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X should also have been updated to support VR in its Concert Editor mode, but it doesn’t appear to be active yet on my US copy of the game.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X Review (PS4)
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is the latest game in SEGA’s Project DIVA rhythm game series, and also the first to be released on the PlayStation 4. While there’s also a PlayStation Vita version (of which I played the Japanese import), it’s the English PlayStation 4 version that I’ll be reviewing here. With Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, SEGA made several big changes to the traditional Project DIVA formula, perhaps in an attempt to revitalize the franchise which appears to be showing some fatigue in Japan. The question is if the changes were for the better? Read on to find out my thoughts on that!
