On the EU PlayStation Store a large number of games are being discounted, and some of them are from SEGA and Atlus. In particular, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir for the PlayStation 4 are part of the “PlayStation Plus Double Discounts”, meaning you get double the discount if you’re a PlayStation Plus member. This brings Valkyria Chronicles Remastered down to €7,99, definitely a good deal. There are also regular 65% discounts on Yakuza 5, Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls for the PlayStation 3. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Review (PS4)
The original Odin Sphere is a 2D action RPG developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus, which was released back in 2007 on the PS2. At the time it was praised for its stunning 2D visuals and intuitive gameplay, but it suffered from a low framerate. 9 years later, Atlus and Vanillaware have once again teamed up to release Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, a remastered version of the original, on the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Taking advantage of the more powerful hardware, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir attempts to resolve the problems with the original game. Below, you can find my review of the game’s PlayStation 4 version!
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Released in the Americas, New Trailer and Unboxing Video
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is now available in the Americas for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita! Developed by Vanillaware and published by ATLUS, the game is a remastered version of the original PS2 game Odin Sphere, and features graphical upgrades, new content and revamped gameplay.
Atlus U.S.A. has also made a special Storybook Edition available for the PS4 version for the game, containing plenty of extra’s. You can view an unboxing video of the Storybook Edition in the video below, as well as images of its contents. We also included the new full trailer and the official press release from Atlus. The European launch is scheduled for June 24, where it will be published by NISA Europe. We’re also working on a review of the game, which we hope to release between now and the launch of the game in the EU.
PS4 Demo of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Now Available for the US
Atlus U.S.A. has announced that the PS4 demo for Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is now available on the US PSN. The PlayStation Vita version for the game is scheduled to be released later, on May 31, due to unforeseen circumstances. However, there doesn’t seem to be any mention of a PS3 demo. The demo allows you to play all of the five protagonists (Gwendolyn, Cornelius, Mercedes, Velvet and Oswald).
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is scheduled to be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in North America on June 7. In Europe, the game will be released on June 24, and will also be the last Atlus game published by NISA Europe.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir: English Velvet Trailer and New Media
Atlus U.S.A. has distributed a new trailer for the character of Velvet ahead of the upcoming release of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir outside of Japan. We’ve attached a small gallery of images, the trailer itself, and a press release to the bottom of this article. This completes the character trailer series for the game, but perhaps we may see different trailers in the future.
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir: English Oswald Trailer
Promotional trailers for Oswald from Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir hit the web not too long ago. Be sure to watch it below (uploaded to the PlayStation YouTube channel) if you haven’t gotten the chance. Oswald’s path tells the story of a talented dragon-slayer whose journey intersects with powerful dark forces after he is betrayed by his adoptive father. However his destiny also comes to overlap with the heroine Gwendolyn.
If you remember, NISAmerica is handling the publishing of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir in Europe, and this game may quite possibly the last Atlus title they work on, so far as we know. In any case, I’d like to bring to our readers’ attention the fact there are French, Italian, German, and Spanish-subtitled versions of the Oswald character trailer on NISAmerica’s YouTube channel. It’s an interesting thing to be aware of!

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is a 2D sidescrolling action RPG, steeped in Norse mythology or a Wagnerian opera. The new game is a complete HD remake of the original PS2 classic Odin Sphere from Vanillaware, the team behind the hit side-scrolling action game Dragon’s Crown and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.
The kingdom of Valentine was the most powerful country on the continent of Erion. Its people thrived using the magical power of the Crystallization Cauldron, but it was destroyed in one fateful night. And so, a war over the now master-less Cauldron has begun, involving all the nations of the land and growing more intense by the day. Is the End near, as the Prophecy states?

I hope that you all survived April Fool’s Day!
Here’s an Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir character trailer, featuring Cornelius. He is a prince who is cursed and transformed into the mythical creature known in-game as the “Pooka.” The story of Cornelius follows him as he learns about his curse and attempts to escape from the Underworld. Cornelius is described as a fighter with quick attacks.
The game is due for release on PS3, PS4, and Vita in the West in June of this year (though the releases per region won’t be concurrent, so far as we know.)
