Yakuza 6 Includes Playable Versions of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Puyo Puyo, Both With 2 Player Mode
Famitsu has revealed more information regarding Yakuza 6, and it includes some interesting information regarding the activities that you’ll be able to experience in the game’s “Play Spots”. Thanks to the translation from Gematsu, we’ve now learned that both Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Puyo Puyo will be playable, and they’ll both feature a two-player mode. This also means that SEGA have in fact ported Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to PS4, so it’s reasonable to think SEGA might end up releasing the game separately as well (and who knows, perhaps this also paves the way for a PC version). In addition, the arcade classics Outrun, Super Hang-On, Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone will also be playable.

The King of Fighters XIV: Introducing Verse
The King of Fighters XIV released worldwide last week. While it might have seemed that the stream of promotional videos would screech to a halt, there’s one more video (and perhaps others in the future?) left to see.
This is something to be avoided if you are particularly invested in experiencing the mythology of fighting games independently of any spoilers.
Find below Atlus USA’s statement and promo movie on this mysterious revelation to The King of Fighters XIV. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for more details on The King of Fighters XIV World Championship, the invitational tournament for KOF XIV players scheduled for 2017!

Latest Media Create Sales Results Shows a Poor Debut for Project DIVA X HD, Slightly Better Sales for The King of Fighters XIV
The latest Japanese videogame sales results from Media Create have been released, and they paint a rather bleak picture for the first week of sales for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X HD. The game entered the charts at number 8, with a total of 12.915 copies sold. While it was to be expected that the PS4 version wouldn’t do better than the PS Vita version, these sales are still worse than expected. For reference, the PS Vita version sold 69,438 copies in its first week, which in itself was already a low number for a series once capable of selling over 200,000 copies in its first week.
Shenmue III Update: Development Report Volume 01
A new update to the Shenmue III official website contains a web video diary, titled “Development Report Vol. 01”, offering a behind-the-scenes look at developing a QTE and an accompanying event scene, which involves Ryo Hazuki evading a rockslide. While the text update is short, it does treat viewers to another two minutes of the development process, and it suggests that the development team hopes to provide monthly updates on the Shenmue III project in the future.
