Earlier on we posted the first part of Nyoro SF’s translation of the GAMER interview with the director and producer for Valkyria: Azure Revolution. This is the second part of the lengthy interview, where we learn more about the fantasy and RPG elements in Valkyria: Azure Revolution, as well as the reason Valkyria Chronicles 2 took a different turn in terms of setting and characters. It’s an interesting read for those interested in Valkyria: Azure Revolution, and the evolution of the Valkyria Chronicles series. You can find the interview below! Once again our thanks go to Nyoro SF for translating the interview, and giving us permission to post it here.

Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity’s Multiplayer Servers Closed
Online game servers for Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity were closed on the 29th of September in Japan. The announcement for this closure was actually made three months ago in June. Downloadable content will still be available, but multiplayer online features are discontinued.
Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity released in Japan on February 24, 2011. That means the game’s servers saw more than four and a half years of activity. It’s often in the nature of the modern Phantasy Star games that there’s always someone out there interested in playing; activity on such sites as PSOWorld is a testament to that! While Phantasy Star Portable 2 was released outside of Japan, Infinity was not.
Moving forward, Sega seems to be putting their efforts towards Phantasy Star Online 2′s PlayStation 4 version and the animation project, rather than other Phantasy Star subseries or spinoff titles.
