SEGA Asks Fans Which Platform They Want to See Project DIVA Arcade Ported to

Gematsu reports that SEGA has launched a survey to ask Project DIVA Arcade players on which platform they’d like to see a Project DIVA arcade port. Possible choices are PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Smartphone and “non applicable”.

Before you search for the link to the survey, it’s only available to people that have an account ID to log in to DIVA .NET. So that basically means the survey is strictly aimed at people playing the arcade game in Japan. Interestingly, the PS Vita isn’t an option in the survey. While the platform is unlikely to be powerful enough to really do an arcade port justice, the same problem goes for smartphones, which are nevertheless on the list.

Minigames in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Deluxe

In addition to the rhythm gaming core of Project Mirai Deluxe, the game will also offer a handful of minigames for players to check out. Sega recently took to the Japanese Project Mirai Deluxe website to announce these treats for gamers. Siliconera offers some insight in their recent article here.

Notably, a Puyo Puyo minigame is available in Project Mirai Deluxe, which should be accessible through this game’s “My Room” submenu. You can play one-player Puyo Puyo games against CPU opponents or locally play two-player games against a nearby friend as long as both players have copies of the game.

Sega and Atlus Garage Kits Revealed at Winter Wonderfest 2015

The biannual Tokyo Wonder Festival saw some interesting figma announcements related to Sega and Atlus franchises.  For those unaware, twice a year Wonder Festival shows off a variety of “garage kits” or figurines of anime and video game characters. Sometimes, announcements are made of figurines to be made in the future. These garage kits are often produced through licensing agreements with the I.P. holder of a certain character (Sega, Atlus, Bandai Namco, etc.).

This past weekend, plenty of Sega and Atlus-related garage kits were announced or shown off. Do note that some of these preview pictures are NSFW. On the Sega side, a Kazuma Kiryu figure made by Max Factory is currently in development, though there are no preview pictures currently available. There are a couple varieties of Hatsune Miku figures coming out, including Greatest Idol Hatsune Miku, Ebata Risa version Hatsune Miku, and Racing Miku 2014 EV Mirai version. A special Snow Miku Nendoroid was also exclusively available to Wonderfest, though it will apparently be made available in limited capacity outside of Wonderfest. In addition, a figure for Len Kagamine is also in development by Max Factory. Representing Atlus properties are Yukari Takeba from Persona 3 and the Sorceress from Dragon’s Crown.

It certainly appeared to be an eventful Wonderfest! Be sure to check out the links in the first sentence of the second paragraph in this article to see larger lists of announced figurines. You may find something else that interests you.

Pre-ordering the game at Gamestop will grant you access to the Extra Character Pack DLC which features Akita Neru, Yowane Haku, and Kasane Teto. Project Diva F/f Discounted during Flash Sale on US PS Store

Currently the European Playstation Store has Project Diva F on the PS3 and Project Diva f on the PS Vita discounted as part of their weekly sales, but Sony has now announced that both games will also be getting a discount in North America during a Flash Sale. However, this sale is only for this weekend (ending October 20th!)

A couple of other Sega games are also discounted for this US PSN Flash Sale, such as the original Golden Axe (not listed on the blog, but this game is on the store) and Bayonetta. While this discounted Bayonetta offering is not necessary for anyone who is looking to buy the sequel in the US (where the original game is included for free), those who don’t have a Wii U and have yet to play Bayonetta can now get the game at a discounted price. And while not a Sega game, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is included in the Flash Sale as well. The game features parodies and references to Sega.

You can find the new prices below, and PS Plus members gain additional 10% off:

GameUSD
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f (PS Vita)$11.99
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F (PS3)$19.99
Bayonetta$7.99
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory$7.49
Golden Axe$1.99

Project Diva F Gets a 40% Discount on the EU PS Store

Sony has revealed a new batch of discounted games for their “Deals of the Week”, and it includes one of the Sega games that, as far as I’m aware, has not received any other discounts since its release. The game in question is Project Diva F, which happens to be one of the few Japanese Sega games that have been localized in recent years. It’s good to see the game get a discount, given how long it’s been available. It’s worth noting that the game has only been released digitally in Europe, so that means anyone that wanted to acquire the EU version had to buy it at full price from the PS Store. This discount means more people will get to play the game and hopefully convince them to buy the upcoming sequel Project Diva F 2nd. Below you’ll find the new prices for both the PS Vita and PS3 versions of the game. Note that the sales end on the 21st of October, so you only have one week to buy the game at the discounted price.
