During the latest “SEGA Nama” live stream, SEGA have revealed the first gameplay footage of Puyo Puyo Chronicle. Perfectly Nintendo managed to upload a recording of the live stream to their Youtube channel, and you can find their video below. Aside from showing some dialogue between Arle and Allie, and exploration of the 3D world, the video also shows the game’s battle system. As seen in the video, the enemies can be avoided when you encounter them on the map, but making contact with them will trigger a battle.

SEGA of Japan has released a new website and the first trailer for Puyo Puyo Chronicle on the Nintendo 3DS! The game’s story starts with Arle and Carbuncle discovering a strange book that ends up transporting them into a different world. There they meet a girl named Allie who for some reason refers to Arle as a “hero”. From there, Arle and Carbuncle will have to struggle to find get back to their original world.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Sega announced the latest entry for the Puyo Puyo franchise, Puyo Puyo Chronicle. The game is being developed for the Nintendo 3DS, and is scheduled to be released on December 8th in Japan. The game’s standard edition will retail for 5,490 yen. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the franchise, an Anniversary Box edition will also be made available for 9,490 yen. This limited edition contains a soundtrack, vocal tracks CD, a drama CD and a special Anniversary theme for your 3DS.
