SNK and Atlus U.S.A. have announced new DLC costumes for two characters in The King of Fighters XIV: Nakoruru and Shun’ei. The costumes are available on the PlayStation Store now and cost $2.99/€1.49 each. It was also recently announced that The King of Fighters XV has been selected as an official game for EVO 2017, the largest fighting game tournament in the world. The King of Fighters XIV 1.10 Teaser Trailer Shows Its New Graphical Upgrades and Content
SNK has uploaded a new PSX 2016 teaser trailer, showing off the upcoming 1.10 update for the game on PlayStation 4. It features updated graphics and additional content such as new colors for the characters’ outfits. The characters’ hair and shadows looks noticeably different in the new version. Rez Infinite and The King of Fighters XIV Nominated for The Game Awards 2016
The list of nominees for The Game Awards 2016 has been revealed, and while there’s no game developed by SEGA or Atlus on the list, there are still two games that have some link to the companies. First of all, Enhanced Games’ Rez Infinite, the enhanced port of the original Dreamcast game, is nominated in two categories: “Best VR game” and “Best Music / Sound Design”. The VR port of the game has received very positive reactions, particularly for its new Area X, a new mode specifically designed to take advantage of the PS4 hardware. Having played the game, I can say that it certainly deserves the nominations.
The King of Fighters XIV: Introducing Verse
The King of Fighters XIV released worldwide last week. While it might have seemed that the stream of promotional videos would screech to a halt, there’s one more video (and perhaps others in the future?) left to see.
This is something to be avoided if you are particularly invested in experiencing the mythology of fighting games independently of any spoilers.

The King of Fighters XIV World Championship Announced For January 2017, Plus Release Trailer
Have you been able to check out The King of Fighters XIV? At the moment, the newest entry in the KOF series has released worldwide. Atlus and SNK-Playmore have recently announced a major tournament event for The King of Fighters XIV, set for January of 2017 at the moment. Titled the KOF XIV World Championship, it will be an invitational-style tournament that will host some of the world’s strongest KOF XIV competitors. More details to be announced in the future!
The King of Fighters XIV: K’ Team, Women Fighters Team
The King of Fighters XIV releases worldwide for Playstation 4 next week! August 23rd, 25th, and 26th are the release dates for North America, Japan, and Europe, respectively. AtlusUSA has produced some promotional material for two well-known teams in the King of Fighters franchise – K’ Team, and the Women Fighters Team. The Women Fighters Team has a new combatant in Alice, who previously only appeared in one of SNK-Playmore’s Garou-series pachinko games. She’s a fan of Terry Bogard and even wears a Fatal Fury-themed hat.
Unboxing Video for The King Of Fighters XIV Steelbook and Premium Edition
Atlus U.S.A. have posted an unboxing video for the Steelbook and Premium Edition of the upcoming release of The King Of Fighters XIV on PlayStation 4. You can take a look at the video below to see what content is included in both editions! The King Of Fighters XIV will be released on August 23 in the Americas for $59.99 / CA$79.99. In Europe, the release is planned for 26th August 2016 for €59.99 / £49.99 (published by Deep Silver). The game will be released both in a retail and digital version. Pre-orders and a limited number of launch editions will arrive in the special SteelBook case, and in the week following launch, the Classic Kyo costume DLC will be available for free. The Premium Edition, available for the Americas, will cost $79.99.
The King of Fighters XIV “Burn to Fight” Premium Edition include the following:
- SteelBook® – The game disc will be encased in a collectible SteelBook® emblazoned with the series’ fiery mainstay, Kyo Kusanagi, literally burning to fight.
- Art book – This 144-page art book will be filled with original character/stage drawings from throughout the series.
- 3-Disc Soundtrack – Those looking for an audio fix will be able to enjoy a three-disc soundtrack (housed in a gorgeous Mai Shiranui illustrated case) comprised of 60+ electric songs worthy of the greatest fighting tournament in the world.
