SEGA have revealed the Japanese box art for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita version of Valkyria; Azure Revolution. Featuring the main character Amleth, the box art’s desaturated colors and gloomy look contrasts with those of the Valkyria Chronicles games. A prologue video (in Japanese) was also released, introducing the kingdom of Jutland and the Rus empire. You can view the video below, along with a preview of the box art!

Valkyria: Azure Revolution Demo 2.0 Now Available on November 20 To Anyone Who Pre-Registers
Earlier on, SEGA of Japan had noted that they would be releasing a demo of Valkyria: Azure Revolution to the general public. They have now opened a website where people can pre-register to receive the demo, as well as other bonus items that will be available at the game’s launch. You can pre-register on the official website here, simply by entering your e-mail address. The demo will be released on November 20, but note that you need to register before November 19 if you want to receive it. You’ll probably need a Japanese Playstation Store account to redeem it.
New Valkyria: Azure Revolution Trailer and Character Details
SEGA of Japan have released a new trailer for their upcoming RPG Valkyria: Azure Revolution, a spinoff from their Valkyria Chronicles series. The 4 minute trailer features a lot of story footage that we’ve seen before, but it also includes new gameplay footage, including one showing Amleth exploring the city. New character details and artwork have also been added to the official website. While we had seen these characters before in earlier trailers, we now get to know their names and background information. The following characters were revealed:
Valkyria: Azure Revolution Is Getting Another Demo, Will be Available for Everyone This Time
Valkyria: Azure Revolution producer Youichi Shimosato has confirmed to Gamer.ne.jp that they will be releasing another demo for the game in Japan, and this time the demo will be available for everyone to download. The previous two demos were restricted to those who bought Valkyria Chronicles Remaster or attended certain events such as the recent Tokyo Game Show.
The game is scheduled to be released on January 19 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. At this point, a release for the West hasn’t been confirmed.

Valkyria: Azure Revolution’s Blum and Helena Featured in New Video
As part of a Twitter campaign, where people are asked to guess the identity of Helena and Blum’s voice actors, SEGA of Japan has released a new video featuring an in-game cutscene from the game. The developers noted that this scene isn’t representative of the game’s final quality, and it’s a good thing they stated as much as the scene looks very rough indeed, with limited character animation and awkward looking characters (Helena in particular).
In addition, the Tokyo Game Show presentation of the game has also been uploaded to SEGA’s YouTube channel, which shows the battle against Brunhild that’s playable in the demo. You can view the videos below.

The Edelweiss and Nameless from Valkyria Chronicles Are Now Available in World of Tanks Blitz

A Preview of the Preorder Bonuses For Valkyria: Azure Revolution in Japan, Including New Artwork
SEGA have updated the Valkyria: Azure Revolution website with some new previews of the preorder bonuses available at various. While we usually do get preorder bonuses in the West for SEGA games, in Japan there are typically a lot more preorder items, all spread across different retailers. As a result, it can be difficult deciding which retailer you want to purchase from. We included the previews of all the preorder items below (you can hover over the images for a description). Translated GAMER Interview with Valkyria Chronicles and Valkyria: Azure Revolution Team – Part 1
Earlier this year, Japanese website GAMER interviewed the producer and director of Valkyria: Azure Revolution and Valkyria Chronicles Remastered. Recently, NeoGAF member Nyoro SF translated the interview in English, and our editor InTheSky already wrote an article about that earlier on, summarizing the info from the translation.
