SEGA has posted a new video for Yakuza 0, where localization producer Scott Strichart gives us a quick overview of the game’s story and the two main characters: Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima. Scott does a good job at explaining what the game’s story is about for those who are not familiar with the franchise. As he noted in the video, if you’re looking to play your first Yakuza game, then Yakuza 0 is definitely a good place to start. You can find the video below!

Yakuza 0: Goro Majima Preview Video
A new character preview video for Yakuza 0 has been released to IGN’s YouTube channel, featuring the second protagonist of the game: Goro Majima. Before he was the wild and uncontrollable gangster that we all know him as now, Majima was a hostess club owner in the city of Soutenbori and a man of extreme poise. He also rocked a ponytail back then, too.

In a new PSBlog post, John Hardin has announced the “The Business” editions of Yakuza 0 for the Americas. These are special first-print copies reserved for launch purchases or early adoptions.
(update: I’ve amended this article to note that there do not appear to be plans for this type of special edition in Europe, as of the time of this statement’s writing.

Yakuza 6 Includes Playable Versions of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Puyo Puyo, Both With 2 Player Mode
Famitsu has revealed more information regarding Yakuza 6, and it includes some interesting information regarding the activities that you’ll be able to experience in the game’s “Play Spots”. Thanks to the translation from Gematsu, we’ve now learned that both Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and Puyo Puyo will be playable, and they’ll both feature a two-player mode. This also means that SEGA have in fact ported Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to PS4, so it’s reasonable to think SEGA might end up releasing the game separately as well (and who knows, perhaps this also paves the way for a PC version). In addition, the arcade classics Outrun, Super Hang-On, Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone will also be playable.

Yakuza 2 – 5 Remasters on PlayStation 4 a Possibility?
In a recent Seganama broadcast (also featuring Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice, and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X), Toshihiro Nagoshi broached the possibility of remasters of Yakuza 2 through Yakuza 5 on Playstation 4. These comments come in response to strong sales of Yakuza Kiwami, the ground-up remake of the first game for Playstation 4. Of Sega’s Japanese brands that have a presence in the console games market segment, Yakuza has always been one of the relatively steadier and healthier names in sales.
